ReplyDeleteI am pro-games in the instructional setting. I support this as a way to reach all learners, visual, audible and kinesthetic. It is important as an educator to ensure that all students are successful, thus ensuring that various avenues are presented on the content in order to ensure mastery. I believe that these games should be aligned with the use of Bloom’s Taxonomy. For example, as the student is provided instruction along the Bloom’s Taxonomy continuum, when the students are at the ability level to apply information, synthesize information and evaluate, the gaming device/program should be used. This will allow the instructor to measure the mastery level of the student through the program in order to ensure that they have knowledge and comprehension of the content, thus are able to apply, sythezise and evaluate. The game will test all of the skills that the students have obtained in a traditional setting and allow the to be accessed all at once.
ReplyDeleteMy final round score was 33852. I liked the game because it accessed your critical thinking skills. The first rounds were easy, but as the game progressed the difficulty did as well. I did not like that you were not able to access other cookies in the back, until the front rows were gone, as this slowed me down.

I am a pro advocate of pro-games being included as part of an instructional lesson plan. You have students with different learning abilities, and different learning styles will be more excited about learning through playing interactive games. I have seen students that were unable to read, write or speak get on a learning game and play. The results of them playing the games showed that they were learning in a fun way in comparison to the traditional book, paper, and pencil way of learning. At least you see some growth in their learning.
The games should be aligned with common core and states standards that will challenge students to think and use strategies as a way to create critical thinking skills in order for students to be successful in all academic areas.
My final round score was 68,117 and my final round was 7. I really enjoyed playing this game because it challenged you on your speed of identifying your shapes and numbers in order to remove all the cookies from the wall.
I tried to challenge you in a playing a match @kendallnm, but I had not played enough to do so.
I strongly support games in the instructional setting. Playing games can meet different learning abilities. Students having fun playing and learning at the same time. Games make students learning fast and use their critical thinking to win an get high scores. In my opinion, games should be aligned with common core standards that would raise the students’ achievements.

ReplyDeleteI support games in the instructional setting. Games can provide student with different aspects in learning. Games improve student strategy and critical thinking skills. Having fun is a good way to improve learning. Games improve the speed of learning and should be aligned with common core standards.

In my view as a teacher, games have advantages and disadvantages which depend on culture and students' environment. Also it is important to select and determine useful games which enhance their knowledge, and support teachers' lesson in any field. Thus, choosing games are the most significant part. It will be a new idea to change students' routine.
ReplyDeleteMy final round score was 27,984. As a mathematics teacher, I assessed this game under Mathematical Engineering for the primary students that can students have an ability to match shapes and number with speed limit.
